Working with American Express®, PayrollRewards offers clients a new way to initiate payments to their payroll companies.  Once you set up your account and send us your payroll report, American Express will draw funds from your business bank account and wire your funds to your payroll company.  And if you have an American Express® Card that is enrolled in the Membership Rewards® program, you can earn Membership Rewards points for each dollar of eligible PayrollRewards transaction. Terms and conditions apply. The Process

Ahead of each payroll date, send your summary payroll report to PayrollRewards, and PayrollRewards will securely communicate with American Express to transfer the funds from your bank account to your payroll company.  American Express will be transmitting the funds from your business bank account to your payroll company. 


Steps for each payroll cycle

  1. You will send your payroll summary report to PayrollRewards
  2. PayrollRewards communicates your payment instructions to American Express.
  3. American Express draws funds from your business bank account and wires funds to your payroll company. American Express and PayrollRewards Fees are withdrawn along with these funds. If enrolled, will also add Membership Rewards points into your eligible American Express Membership Rewards account. 
  4. Your payroll company distributes funds to employees as usual.
  5. PayDay! They Get Paid. You Get Points.™
